Keeny Ice, born Barnabas Amu, is a talented Ghanaian hip-hop and hiplife artiste. He was once born on June 11, 1991, in Aflao, Ghana, to a Benin father, Mr. Pacal Amu, and a Ghanaian mother, the late Mrs. Elizabeth Senayah Amu. He is the remaining of three boys born to his parents.
Keeny Ice had his simple schooling at Modestus International and accomplished in 2006 with a BECE certificate. He persisted his education at Three Town Senior High School in Denu, Volta Region, where he studied Visual Arts and graduated in 2011 with a WASSCE Certificate.
During his 2d cycle education, Keeny Ice’s brain as a musician was once evident, and he gained the admiration of his peers who watched him function countless times at some stage in enjoyment programs. He regularly became one of the first-class scholar artistes in the Volta area at the time.
Keeny Ice ventured into full-time song after school and has been centered on the hip-hop/hiplife genre of music. He blends his native language “Adza” with English to speak his message. Keeny Ice has performed on many stages, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Nominees Jam in Ho, Koforidua Technical University Awards, Ghana/Naija Beach Rave, Ghana Meets Naija 2019, EdemFest, SaminiFest, Zylofon Cash Activation Concert, and many huge degrees in Nigeria and Togo.
In 2021, Keeny Ice launched his debut extended play (EP) titled “Border Vibes,” in which he tells the real-life and music hustle story inspired via his childhood days, experiences on the musical journey, and his future plans. He also runs the KICA Foundation, an NGO that encourages instructing and mastering of creative arts in simple schools.
Keeny Ice is now not simply a musician but also an entrepreneur, working industriously to have an impact on the lives of people around the world via all forms of creativity. He is managed via ABM Global, and his fans, recognised as “Keeny Freaks,” have helped propagate his works to others.
