Bright Okpocha, often known as Basketmouth, is a well-known Nigerian comedian who is trying to make amends with Ayo Makun, a fellow comic.
The two have been at odds over a debt Makun claims Basketmouth owes him for more than ten years.
Makun asserted that Basketmouth had asked him to fill in for him at a comedy concert earlier in his career during an interview with well-known media personality Chude Jideonwo in March 2023.
Following the performance, AY claimed that Basketmouth had declined to pay him the N30,000 compensation for the appearance, despite the fact that the show's organizers had already paid Basketmouth before the performance.Basketmouth responded to the accusation by saying he preferred not to comment. He added that he wished to never speak to AY once more.
He said in the popular video, "To be honest, I don't want that guy to ever hear from you.
Basketmouth has since changed his mind and apologized to Makun for his transgressions. The comedian expressed his sincere apologies for any hurt he may have caused to anyone in the profession in a video he posted on his Instagram page on Monday.
