Netizens React In Shock As Sonnie Badu Releases ‘Controversial’ Apology Letter For Dr. Kwaku Oteng Following Social Media Backlash

Ghanaian gospel music icon and Rockhill Church founder Sonnie Badu, who resides in the UK, has been the talk of the media for the past 48 hours due to his recent criticism of Dr. Kweku Oteng, CEO of Angel Group of Companies.

In an interview with MzGee and Abeiku Santana on Okay FM, Sonnie Badu expressed his dissatisfaction and displeasure over Dr. Oteng's apparent failure to fulfill his pledge to finance his highly awaited "Rhythms of Africa" performance.

Online users had differing opinions about Sonnie Badu's statement. Many of them said that it wasn't necessary for her to bring up the topic in public.

In response to the criticism he has been receiving, Sonnie Badu has issued a statement in which he apologizes in part to Dr. Oteng, withdrawing the charges he had made before and expressing sorrow for voicing his complaints in public.

Sonnie Badu clarified that he wished to dispel the misunderstanding that Dr. Kwaku Oteng was the concert's sponsor, even though the message is meant to be an apology.

He continued by describing his feelings of disappointment and the things he had previously done for Dr. Kwaku Oteng.

See the apology that follows:

"*I'M SO Sorry, Dr. Kwaku Otekeng!*"

I would want to take this opportunity to apologize to Dr. Kweku Oteng for calling him out on Okay 101.7FM for not supporting my "Rhythms of Africa" concert.

For those of you who don't know, I honored him with grace in Atlanta, Georgia, and I stayed faithful to him.

Dr. Oteng had committed to supporting the project for my large concert in Atlanta, but he did not follow through.

I gave him a courtesy call regarding the concert that was just conducted in Ghana, and he promised to assist the project once more.

However, despite my high expectations and my hope that he would atone for his previous broken promise, he let me down once more.

I enthusiastically announced on my social media accounts that he was eager to support the project following my visit with him.

I felt the need to set the record straight because, let's face it, it was rather annoying that many seemed to think Dr. Oteng had approved of the great performance that was held at the Grand Arena over the weekend.

I do, however, truly apologize to Dr. Oteng for making this information public.

I've learned my lesson to not rely on people, and when I did turn back to God, he astonished me by creating "Rhythms of Africa," which is possibly one of the greatest events Ghana has ever seen.

Godspeed to you, sir!
