In order to reunite with the Black Stars team ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Mohammed Kudus has finally arrived in Ghana.
The arrival of the West Ham United player was somewhat delayed because of a minor injury, as confirmed by Ghana's coach Chris Hughton.
On Monday, Kudus is expected to join the Black Stars camp in Kumasi, where the team is currently based.
Kudus is present, however he will not be taking part in Monday, January 8, 2023's pre-AFCON friendly versus Namibia at Baba Yara Stadium.
He's still getting better from that little injury described earlier.
Kudus' Premier League form is crucial for Ghana and coach Chris Hughton as they look to snap a 42-year trophy drought at the AFCON.
The Black Stars are getting ready for Egypt, Mozambique, and Cape Verde in a difficult Group B matchup.
Matches for the 2023 AFCON tournament will be held in neighboring Ivory Coast and are scheduled to begin on Saturday, January 13, 2023, and run through February 11, 2024.
Unfortunately, Kudus did not participate in the previous competition, which took place in Cameroon.
