Chef Failatu Abdul Razak has been awarded the esteemed title of Executive Chef by the Ghana Chefs Association in acknowledgment of her outstanding culinary adventures and dedication to shattering the record for the longest cooking marathon.
The news was released on January 5th, when Chef Failatu was specially visited by the Association as part of her Cook-A-Thon bid to beat the record now held by Ugandan chef Dorcus Mirembe.
Chef Isaac spoke on behalf of the Association and reaffirmed their unflinching support for Failatu's initiative.
"We are here to show our support, honor her, and confer on her the title of Executive Chef in Ghana," said Chef Isaac.
Chef Isaac clarified that the purpose of this distinction is to encourage other chefs to pursue greatness, earning recognition for the Ghana Chefs Association, the country, and themselves as well.
Emphasizing the Ghana Chefs Association's global reach, Chef Isaac disclosed their involvement in multiple international contests as members of the World Chefs Society.
He emphasized the association's dedication to showcasing Ghana's culinary prowess internationally as well.
The Ghana Chefs Association president signed a thoughtfully designed citation, which the Association sent to Chef Failatu as a token of their gratitude.
She was also given a specially designed outfit that represented her newfound prominence in the food industry.
According to the citation, "The Ghana Chefs Association would like to express its congratulations and acknowledgement of your formal endeavor to surpass the World Guinness Record for cook-a-thon, which is the longest cooking marathon.
The Association's whole membership stands firmly behind you in appreciation of your remarkable accomplishment in elevating Ghana's hospitality sector via the cook-a-thon.
The greatest designation in our field, "Executive Chef," is bestowed upon you. Executive Chef is what you now hold, Failatu Abdul Razak.
