Nana Kwame Bediako, sometimes referred to as Freedom Jacob Caesar or Cheddar by most people, has revealed himself as the leader of the New Force political movement.
Speaking following the last-minute cancellation of a public lecture event dubbed "The Convention," which he had organized under the brand name New Africa Foundation, 43-year-old Nana Kwame Bediako stated he had wanted to take advantage of another chance to introduce himself, discuss his policies, and clarify why he wants to be the president of Ghana.
However, he chose to take advantage of the opportunity to reveal himself because he had invited notable individuals to speak on January 7 about "Igniting the voices of Africa," including P.L.O.
Lumumba from Kenya, Peter Obi from Nigeria, Julius Malema from South Africa, and Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao from Zimbabwe.
However, the event was canceled at the last minute due to a denial of access to Independence Square.
He informed the press that he would have preferred to come clean and discuss his policies at the appropriate time, but the circumstances surrounding the cancellation are what forced him to do so early.
He claimed there was nothing to be afraid about.
press conference following the cancellation of the New Africa Foundation Convention
"You shouldn't be afraid of me. I am the one who has come to save you. I don't only invest in myself. The man, who will age 44 in February 2024, declared, "I am investing in you." He also mentioned that he had a fantastic vision for Ghana and Africa.
"We must impart knowledge. It is our duty to raise our kids. We must speak with them. I never said a word, but you were searching for me, therefore you are about to learn about this man with the mask.
I did not tell you that I am an evangelist, that I am interested in politics, or that I lean toward conventionalism or revolution.
You will have to wait until after this day for me to tell you about my policies and my goals.
And if I'm the cause of the nation's or the government's dissatisfaction with these outstanding voices traveling to Ghana and educating the continent, then I utilize this opportunity to sacrifice and reveal who I am, as I have a tremendous deal of respect for
However, I am that man with a noble goal and a brilliant vision. For this country, I have a strategy and a vision. And not only for my country—I have it for all of Africa.
However, I am aware that Africa is the next great thing since, of all the continents in the world that have experienced development, there is only one that has not, and I have been sent to address that," the man stated.
The New Force's thought leaders convention has been canceled.
Earlier, New Force supporters flocked Independence Square, singing nationalistic songs and demanding entry to the site for The Convention program, which brought together African thought leaders to discuss the major issues affecting the continent's growth.
The New Africa Foundation, meantime, announced in a news release on Sunday night, January 7, that "The Convention," a Pan African gathering scheduled for today at Ghana's Black Star Square, has "been cancelled by the Government."
We regret to notify you that the Pan African Event scheduled for today in Ghana's Independence Square has been postponed by the government.
For this historic occasion, thousands of people have traveled from all around Ghana and the world, in addition to the VIP visitors who have already arrived."
"A few hours prior to the event's start, we were notified that it was being canceled. In November 2023, the government gave their approval for this event.
We were shocked by this, and our distinguished guests who had traveled from all over the world were devastated."
"The New Africa Foundation expresses its regret for any trouble this may have brought about for both the general public and our audience.
Kindly acknowledge that we had no influence over this issue, both before and after," the statement read.
