My life has been threatened – ECG MD said

Samuel Dubik Mahama, the Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), has voiced his serious concerns regarding the effect of his position on his family's safety and well-being.

The guy in charge of ECG, Mr. Mahama, discussed the challenges he has in handling his job duties in an interview with JoyNews' PM Express.
The Managing Director revealed that since taking on the position, his life has been endangered and his family's safety has been in danger.

It's not fair to put your children's and family's lives in jeopardy while working at a profession that isn't the simplest, and your life is in danger.
And these are the things that I have been experiencing," Mahama said in the conversation.

The Managing Director went on to say that when he or the power distribution firm becomes the target of unfounded claims, it usually makes matters worse.
"It is always when people are complaining that somebody has taken an amount of money or that something has been moved, it is not fair," he said, urging the public to check the facts before casting allegations. Correct the facts.

Mr. Mahama expressed his anger and emphasized the importance of responsible reporting while pointing out the nation's growing trend of disseminating false information.

He said, "It's not fair that this nation has reached a point where it's commonplace to wake up in the morning and wave things that are untrue."
He is frustrated since the nation is currently experiencing frequent power outages. Ghanaians have requested that ECG release a schedule of power outages so that everyone is aware that the "dumsor"—power outages—has returned.

In the meantime, Mr. Mahama has promised that the problems that caused the most recent power outages have been fixed, so the sporadic blackouts will end.
